Wd40 On Rubber Tires
I use gojo hand cleaner.
Wd40 on rubber tires. It should be fine on tires. Wd40 is rated for use on rubber but i d be wary of doing so personally. Most liquid dish soaps contain phosphates which attack aluminum. Oil gradually dissolves rubber so this can be an issue.
Non latex based synthetic rubber is probably entirely ok however but check the specifications to be sure. It will dry out and damage rubber and plastic. Temporarily it s ok but you don t want to have something made of rubber wet with wd40 for a long period. Containing wd 40 powersolve technology a proprietary solvent that quickly breaks down grease it s safe to use on most surfaces including metals plastics rubber glass aluminum and more.
Phosphates will turn your flakes to powder. Wd 40 is a water displacing. I would still be surprised if wd40 could compromise a modern tire any faster than normal use best one so far on this thread is ky because its water soluble inert and slick enough to get the job done.
