The bitey mojo of the ceramic blue dog fits the smoothness of the ie 4 like a glove. Got the 100 watt speaker and the clarity and warmth cannot be touched without a weber hemp speaker. Bright clear big natural low end lots of chime and ring detail that doesn t get hard or harsh at high volumes more headroom than the alnico version. It seems to have scooped mids to my ear compared to the other speakers. Prior to the silver bell i used a celestion g12h30 warehouse reaper alnico blue and weber ceramic blue dog. All of these are great speakers.
Alnico blue may sound soft when driven very hard but they re still very sensitive loud speakers even at their 15w rating so to make them sound soft you have to be playing very loud. The blue dog hemp cone was to replace a cannabis rex speaker in my hrdlll amp.
