Weight Limit On Roof Of Rv
The limit is more space then weight last time i was on my roof i was with shannon from easton electric motor service.
Weight limit on roof of rv. I have looked at the manuals and specs of several rvs and found no information about the amount of weight an rv roof will support. I have a 2000 coleman bayside. It has a abs roof made by coleman. A normal human average weight of around 250 lbs to 280 lbs should be the limit for the roof.
I ve never seen a weight limit on any roof of any brand of rv. Nathan july 14th 2019. I would like to do it myself but will have one of my little friends get up there if there will be a chance i will cause damage. There are many comments in rv forums that in general an rv roof is able to support 250 lbs.
He s a good 200 pounds plus i m over 300 and there was nothing to suggest any problem except for the one we were fixing and since he services electric motors. Most just list walk on roof which i suppose you could take with a grain of salt. But on an average the rv roof should be able to handle one persons weight easily. I will call the dealer and ask too but figured i would ask here first.
Every one i ve walked on flexed quite a bit but figure you re on 1 2 plywood at the most on a top of the line unit or 3 8 or less on the entry level each having rafters on 16 centers. I am not the smallest guy at 293lbs and the last thing i want is to fall through the roof. Is there a weight limit for the roof. You know it was not a roof problem but it was in the area of the roof most likely to have a problem.
Whether or not you can walk on your rv roof depends on the make and model of your vehicle. But it is very hard to find any solid information on rv roof weight limits.
